Here is the little painting of my favorite little birdie, Marlowe. I've never painted really, and have discovered how fun and relaxing it is for me.I just had breakfast at Bar Tabac, (it smelled funny in there, part cleaning solution, part fish and cheese. Won't be going back.) with my friend Koko. She's a wonderful, beautiful, talented woman on the same sailboat of 'single and forty.'
Last night dinner with Donatella was fun. We did exactly as I posted yesterday and did it well. I'm going to miss her when she moves out to the West Coast. I know that is wasn't in her ultimate plan, like some transplant New Yorkers that hang here for 5 years and think that the west coast is the next destination . But I think the move will be refreshing. NYC is no picnic right now. when most of my friends moved here in the nineties is was during the hey day of the dot-com economy and everyone had jobs, so not the case at all case now.
Pre-listening to my new running playlist, it has a good empowering array of dance and rock music to get the endorphin high that I'm in desperate need of.

Hey if you ever wanna do life drawing with me, or me and Nako, that would be fun. She & I went to Society of Illustrators - as you might remember - one night last spring. Spring St Studio has weekend classes which are generally easier for a tired Astangi to get to.
I don't know if I have work in the city though so everything depends on that!

Lettuce, lots of drama has happened since you've been gone. I miss you. Well Koko and I miss you. Do you know who that is? You should.
I think I'm going to keep painting little pictures of Mar-mar. He loves himself and likes to see himself in gouache.
Me had three bad experiences on the facebook, so I had to pull out!!
I can guess who Koko is. I like it!! It's a good name.
And I think I heard about the drama. Been thinking of you both. Can't wait to see you again. Love you tons & tons. Big, psychic hug!
